Culture, Conservation and Partnerships

Earlier today an email was sent around announcing Friends of the Earth International’s withdrawal from IUCN.  In that email I suggested that it would be useful to begin a dialogue on a TCC contribution to the ‘debate’ over ‘partnerships’. So, if you have thoughts to add, or have case study/examples of how partnerships between conservation organizations and private sector actors affect the cultural bases of biodiversity, please weigh in here (likewise if you have thoughts on how these ‘partnerships’ are themselves a cultural process, I think that would be a useful discussion).
